Project Overview
This site is a collection of WordPress blogs for multiple Northern Illinois University colleges.
Front End Description
There is a parent theme (Gridbox) but then the colleges share a few child WordPress themes in order to keep things as uniform as possible but allowing them some minor changes.
Back End Description
This site overall contains multiple blogs all in one WordPress install which makes it easier to manage as well as to make look more uniform. The sites were previously on different platforms and servers but are now centralized in one place.
Lessons Learned/Random Thoughts
While migrating everything over to one centralized installation - we also moved everything to SSL only and going through the process of making the changes both to the settings as well as to all the content was something mastered after the first two sites.
