WordPress 6.4 is the latest major release in 2023 and contains a number of changes and enhancements make WordPress more efficient as well as addresses over 100 bug fixes.

• Performance improvements to object caching
• Image loading optimizations
• Block editor improvements
• Option to disable attachment pages
